1. Free to play. Just for fun. No money is ever exchanged.
2. You have to actually consume it. Watch the full film, finish the full season of a TV show, or read the whole book. No skimming, no half-watching.
3. Challenge someone. Type their @handle to play a friend, or type CIRCLE to throw it open to the community — first reader to accept takes it.
4. Pick a deadline. Up to 21 days. Both players must submit their real rating before midnight ET on that day.
5. Predict their reaction. The moment you accept, lock in how you think they'll feel — Snorefest, Mid, or Fire. Sealed until both ratings are in.
6. Submit your real rating. After consuming it, rate it honestly. No going back.
7. The reveal. Got their reaction right? Earn a letter. Wrong? Lose one. Tie = nothing.
8. Miss the deadline = auto-loss. Lose a letter and the rival wins one. If both miss, both lose.
9. 3 misses in 30 days = banned. 30-day timeout. No challenges sent or accepted.
10. Spell PLOTMI. Earn all 6 letters — P, L, O, T, M, I — for a stamp. Letters can be lost. Protect them.
11. Out of letters? The vault loans you one to keep playing. Lose with a loaned letter = you owe the vault. Win = the debt is repaid. Or ask a friend to bail you out by sacrificing one of their letters to clear one of yours.
12. 6 letters in debt = locked out. You can't play for 5 days.
13. It's just a game. Not that deep. If something goes wrong, breathe. We'll try to resolve as soon as possible.
How to earn letters.
1. Win a challenge. (1 letter) Correctly predict how your opponent will react to a title and you earn a letter.
2. Read 3 full reports. (1 letter) Complete 3 full reader reports — full reads, not sneak peeks — and earn a letter.
3. Stamp 25 titles. (1 letter) Rate 25 films, books, or TV shows on Plotmi Vibes and earn a letter. One time only.
4. Help a writer. (2 letters) Complete a full reader report and accept the writer's chat room invite — earn 2 letters. Sneak peek reads do not qualify.
